Alma Wakeford “took ill” 18 March, died on 29 March and was buried 31 March, 1949.
Official records state her cause of death as “accute pancreatitis”. But apparently the truth was that she ingested chemicals to either purposely commit suicide or to abort her illegitimate child supposedly fathered by a married man.
She was in her early twenties.
